Compassionate Accountability
What’s covered in this learning:
You do need to be productive, to get things done. And you also need to be accountable to your vision. But, you don’t want to hurt yourself in the name of accountability, and you don’t want to be so focused on the goal that you miss subtleties, miracles, and turns on the path.
1. Compassionate Accountability Workbook
- Get it here – Click here to download the full workbook.
Where is Heart-Centered Goal Planning?
- I mention it, and you can find it as the second part of the Backwards PDF. But I don’t want you to get too bogged down, so consider it supplementary material until you’re read.
- When you’re ready, here’s where you can download Backwards.
2. Watch the video
Here’s the video! It was recorded in HD, so if it isn’t loading quickly for you, or keeps stopping, click the “HD” in the lower right. That turns the HD off (you can click it again to turn it back on).
At the point where I guide you through the exercise, you’ll want to pause it as often as you want to give yourself the time you need.
Your assignment:
We suggest you open a document to keep track of your answers.
- Read the PDF.
- Watch the video.
- Go through the exercise on page 8.
Answer these questions for yourself.
You may want to open a Google doc, or other document, or even a notebook and pen (gasp!), to record your insights and let them sink in more deeply for yourself.
- What did you discover about your current schedule and how it’s working for you, or not?
- What did you discover about your own needs and rhythms, and how well they are being honored/attended to (or not)?
- What initial schedule did you come up with to try as a departure from what you have been doing?
- What insights or other take-aways are you getting from this material?
