Intention • Container • Connection

What’s covered in this learning:

This first lesson in How to Run Successful Groups in Your Business, we have three teaching videos. The first one is on Intention, which helps you discern between structures that are familiar to you versus what you are actually trying to create.

The second one is about the Container, how do you *hold* a group, creating a heart container for the folks that are joining?

The third one can be a bit surprising, about how you as a facilitator connect with your group. There are two points here, one is spiritual, and one is technical, and both are important.

All three videos total about 27 minutes. I definitely recommend you watch them before taking in the deepening call, with the coaching Q&A.

1. Video teaching on Connection

Topics and questions covered in the call

  1. Eye contact- wanting to scan the crowd, video-wise, but wanting to look in  the lens.
  2. Sovereignty with leading groups- creating a sense of safety to share on vulnerable topics.
  3. Running a small group  now- the whole group had their cameras off, which was odd for me.
  4. How helpful sovereignty in groups.
  5. Holding is really important to keep participants from taking things off the rails.
  6. Differences between 1-1 and group work.
  7. Realized I need to do a group about burnout. More than one facilitator?
  8. Let it be easy. What is the priority of the intention?
  9. Appreciating the pause.

What’s next?

There are two more lessons in this module. At this point, you probably have enough to take insights from this lesson to the Crafting Your Offer module, if it’s the right time for you to as create a group for your business.

Otherwise, continue through the additional lessons, making note of insights that you want to apply as you go.
