Creating a Schedule That Works For You
What’s covered in this learning:
Most of us have had our weekly schedule dictated to us for most of our lives, by school, by parents, by jobs. Now that your time is truly your own, how do you create a schedule that is both nourishing and productive? It’s worth some attention.
1. A Nourishing Schedule Workbook
- Get it here – Click here to download the full workbook.
2. Watch the video
Here’s the video! It was recorded in HD, so if it isn’t loading quickly for you, or keeps stopping, click the “HD” in the lower right. That turns the HD off (you can click it again to turn it back on).
At the point where I guide you through the exercise, you’ll want to pause it as often as you want to give yourself the time you need.
Your assignment:
Answer these questions for yourself.
You may want to open a Google doc, or other document, or even a notebook and pen (gasp!), to record your insights and let them sink in more deeply for yourself.
- What did you see about who you are and your natural work rhythms?
- What did you realize about your current commitments and needs, and how much actual space you have for the business?
- What schedule (Off/On, Client/Self) did you create to experiment with for a while to see if it works?
- What other take-aways or insights did you get from this material?
