Listen to the audio exercise, and press pause as often as you need to.

Your assignment:

  • Read the PDF workbook, pages 158-160.
  • Do the exercise on those pages.
  • Answer the questions.
  • If possible, find a partner and practice again the Reaching the Pivot exercise from The Pivot lesson. The more you practice, the more comfortable you’ll become.

You might find it helpful to open up a Google Doc, or another file, or even in a paper notebook (gasp!) and answer the questions there, so you can track your progress.

Questions:

  • What details did you identify in the Singin’ Like Sinatra exercise?
  • When and how will you handle each of the details?
  • How was it to practice speaking the details? What did you notice?
  • As you practice reaching the Pivot again, what changed in your experience and comfort? Is it easier to identify the Pivot with more practice?
