Exercise: Sovereignty
Questions and wrap-up
Your assignment:
- Listen to the audio.
- Read the PDF, pages 12-14.
- Chant with al Malik, or if you have a similar name from a different tradition, or in English. What is your experience invoking/witnessing that Divine quality?
- Complete the exercises. Page 14 “Partnering” can be done alone, or if you’re inspired you can find a partner in the Community to partner with you.
You might find it helpful to open up a Google Doc, or another file, or even in a paper notebook (gasp!) and answer the questions there, so you can track your progress.
- What’s your experience with chanting the quality? What do you notice in your heart and being?
- What did you see as your mission as vice-regent over your business?
- What do you see changing in how you are with the people you serve? What do you see possibly changing in what you’re offering them?
- What situations or people did you identify as throwing you out of your power?
- In facing one of the situations where you lose your power, what was your experience in resting into al Malik (or the equivalent)? What changed in your heart?
- What other experiences, insights or take-aways did you get from this material?
